YES! we finally finished the competition!! the entries are in, so now is just sit and wait.
and there was a talk by peter saville. very casual and inspiring. after we went to the curry mile (a mile of curry restaurants in rusholme, crazy place...totally delicious!), we so deserved it.
saville is a designer from manchester, graduated from manchester polytech university (now manchester metropolitan university, where i'm studying! woohoo!) and now is the brand manager of manchester city council. he is known internationally and works with all kinds of people, stella mccartney, rolling stones, etc. if anyone is in manchester there's an enhibition happening there at urbis, a very cool modern gallery.

got some free tickets to see the manchester phoenix ice hockey team at the MEN area (thnx einar!) as an iintroductory 'support us' kinda thing. and now i think i might follow it up... i guess it worked

check these out.... they are great! my sister took them as part of her course, fashion journalism. as a result my dog , my mom and i end up being the models. and let me tell you, it's hard. some of the shoots were done in winter outside with no shoes on....  crazy but the pics are awesome!
